Editorial Review: Product Description
In "Flight Plan," Brian Tracy reveals the real key ingredients that go into accomplishing any long-term, meaningful success. Using the metaphor of an airplane trip from coast to coast, Flight Plan shows that the real secret to success is to first figure out your destination -- where you want to go -- and lock in on it. Second, you must take off--identify precisely what you must do to achieve the goals you have set for yourself and take action. And third, you must persist through the inevitable challenges and setbacks--by making continual course corrections--until you reach your destination. Tracy observes that any airplane, headed for any destination, will be off course 99 percent of the time because of air turbulence. But, by locking in on its destination, taking off, and making continual course corrections, the plane will arrive as scheduled. The same is true of people's journey through life.

Summary: A 12-point plan on how to achieve your goals in life
Date: 2008-11-14 -
Comment: Many regard Brian Tracy as the paladin of platitudes, but that doesn't mean his message isn't worthwhile. The old verities - Work hard! Think positive! You can achieve anything you put your mind to! - remain eternally valid. That's why motivational authors like Tracy depend on them so heavily. Such venerable homilies continue to pack a punch. As Abraham Lincoln said, "God must love the common man, he made so many of them." And, in contrast, author Philip Wylie said, "God must hate the common man, he made them so common." In the end, everything comes down to personal taste and attitude. getAbstract believes the acid test for Tracy's books is: Do they help you? This particular offering warmly and accessibly charts a plan for taking hold of your life by using the metaphor of an airplane flight. See if it helps you take off.
Summary: Structure Today, Success Tomorrow

Don't buy this book unless you are ready to succeed.
If you are ready to succeed, don't buy this book tomorrow. Buy it today.

Comment: I enjoyed how Brian Tracy uses a "flight plan" as an analogy
for implementing success into your life.
Tracy guides you from what you really want(destination)to persisting
until you succeed.
The book is quick and enjoyable to read.

Summary: Same old "success" rehash
Date: 2008-06-02 -
Comment: Brian Tracy has made millions from jumping feet first into the American "success industry" by recycling the same old stuff over and over and over. Unable to discover anything new, (how many ways can you say Set Goals, Work Hard, Persevere?) in this latest attempt to grab what's left in your pocket, Tracy rehashes the same common-sense principles he already advocated in "Maximum Achievement," "The Way to Wealth," "Million Dollar Habits" and many, many others. This isn't to say that what he preaches doesn't make sense, but it also made sense when it was first said by Jim Rohn, Denis Waitley, Earl Nightingale and many others. The Brian Tracy "success factory" is a machine that simply cranks out title after title, all the while plugging Tracy's speaking tours and, get this, "Brian Tracy University" -- yet one more profit center for you-know-who. All these "success masters" are successful at one thing: promoting themselves.

Summary: For any who want the most out of their time.
Date: 2008-05-05 -
Comment: Life is a journey, and people can accomplish more than they ever dreamed they could accomplish if they would just put their minds to it states prolific author and motivational speaker Brian Tracy in his new book "Flight Plan: The Real Secret to Success." All they need to do this, Tracy writes, is a well thought out and excellent plan covering exactly what readers want to do, a solid self-esteem, a clear goal, and the motivation to stay on course despite anything that would shove them off their decided path in life. "Flight Plan: The Real Secret to Success" is highly recommended to self-help community library collections, and for any who want the most out of their time.
